Where's the Beef?

So it's been a while. I've been busy. It's been a long few weeks. I'm adjusting to a new job, which I love. Plus I'm also doing some work on the side with web design and SQL work. Nothing to write home about. Not only that my wife has been harrassing me to redecorate the house. Being a man, I'm not sure what's wrong with the current state of the decoration in my house, but she's got this bug up her butt to get things re-done over the summer.

Good for her, but keep me out of it. I'm too anal retentive about certain things to make a good interior decorator. For one, I have to have things symmetrical. Anything that isn't balanced in my house bugs me to no end until I fix it. It's not a feng-shui thing. I could care less whether my feng and my shui are copasetic or not, it's just a matter of balance.

Second, I hate things at funny angles. I used to work at a furniture store that had decorators who insisted on putting bed at odd angles from the corner of a room. That sort of thing makes my skin crawl. Call me crazy, but I get uncomfortable around things like that. Yes, I know it's insane, but that's how I am.

Speaking of insane, has everyone in California lost their minds? I mean for a criminal it's paradise, if you are wealthy, famous and a resident of California, you have carte blanche to rape/kill/maim/molest until you are blue in the face. I've never seen such degeneracy as I do out there. I need say no more on that subject.

And finally, has the Bush family lost it's mind? Threatening to get rid of the filibuster rule to get the judicial nominations pushed through, and now Jeb wanting to re-open the investigation into Terri Schiavo's case? When did our leaders become such namby-pamby whiny sissies when they don't get their way? I'm embarrassed to see this kind of political maneuvering from the highest offices in the land. Yes, I'm not totally blind to the fact that IT HAPPENS, but for Pete's sake, try a little harder to hide it. I am an ardent supporter of Bush's handling of Iraq and our troops, but I'm very disillusioned with not so much his other policies, but his shoving them down our throats. But then, as a second term President, he's got nothing to lose. Idiots all of them.
